Michigan Flute Orchestra
The Michigan Flute Orchestra, led by Conductor Gail Green, brings together professional and semi-professional flutists from Detroit and metropolitan areas. This distinctive ensemble showcases the complete flute family that includes the piccolo, traditional C flutes, alto flutes, bass flutes, and contrabass flutes which spans over an impressive six-octave range that offers audiences opportunities to experience the full spectrum of flute voices in concert.
We also offer a specialized chamber ensemble for special events.
Our mission is to bring a new dimension of ensemble performance to the community with a wide range of music that is entertaining and educational.
The Michigan Flute Orchestra consists of
Piccolo, Traditional C Flutes, Alto Flutes, Bass Flutes and Contrabass Flutes.
This unique orchestra performs a varied repertoire of music which displays the tonal richness and cohesiveness of the flute family that expands over 6 octaves.
